Naming your newly acquired pit bull can be somewhat more frustrating than any other breed of dog. You understand why you have a pit bull and you love him. However, it’s important to note that unless you won’t be visiting any parks and reside somewhere in the forests, you may get some odd looks from people if the title of your pit bull is intimidating. I will discuss a few guidelines to follow when naming your pit bull.
If your pit bull is acquired pup and you’re having difficulty coming up with a name it’s a good idea to simply observe the pup’s behavior and pick a name dependent on the character, affection or appearance.
In naming your pit bull, the rule is keep it brief. Pit bulls tend to respond quicker to names that are short. Decide on a name more.
It’s also extremely important that you don’t name your pit bull anything that looks or sounds like any of those commands such as: No, Come, Down, Sit, Fetch or Stay. Dogs in general, or pit bulls, have trouble telling the difference. For instance “Moe” sounds exactly the same as “No” to a dog.
Consider what you’ll be calling out to your pit bull in the park or just out where your neighbors can hear you. The reason for that is the pit bull breed’s overall perception is largely negative. We have all heard the stories about what that “crazy pit bull” did. Despite many misconceptions and exaggerations about the pit bulls, many people simply choose to believe that the pit bull is somehow more “dangerous” than any other puppy. For this reason when choosing a name for your pit bull it’s important to look at how people will treat you and your pit bull with a name like “Killer” or “Destroyer”.
That doesn’t mean you can’t name your puppy what you need, you only need to be sure you’re comfortable calling out to your dog in public without embarrassment. Any name is a good name for your dog as long as it’s something that your dog and you like. Some of the popular names include Max Buddy Maggie, Lucy Bella, Jake, and Rocky. Names are always better. You can also pick from names such as Zoe, and Molly Daisy Sadie, Ginger, Chloe, Bailey, Sophie.
Make sure you love the name of your puppy – it’s going to be the title your pet will carry with him forever. Get more tips to naming your pitbull on the website.
